Resource Class Set-Up

Our resource class set-up service is a specialized service that caters to the needs of students with special needs. This service is designed to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students who require additional assistance in their academic pursuits. The resource class set-up involves the creation of a classroom that is equipped with specialized resources and tools that cater to the unique needs of each student.

Our first step in setting up a resource class is to identify the specific needs of each student. This is usually done through assessments and evaluations conducted by our team of qualified professionals. Based on the results of these assessments, an individualized education plan (IEP) is created for each student. The IEP outlines the specific goals, objectives, and accommodations that are required to support the student’s learning.

Once the IEPs have been created, we design the physical space of the resource class. This involves ensuring that the classroom is accessible and accommodating for students with physical disabilities. For example, ramps may need to be installed for wheelchair access, or sensory-friendly lighting may need to be installed for students with sensory processing disorders.

In addition to physical accommodations, the resource class must also be equipped with specialized resources and tools that cater to the unique needs of each student. This may include assistive technology such as text-to-speech software or communication devices for non-verbal students. It may also include specialized teaching materials such as visual aids or manipulatives for students with learning disabilities.

Overall, our resource class set-up is a comprehensive process that requires collaboration between educators, parents, and our professionals. By providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment, students with special needs can achieve their full potential and thrive academically.
